Tiffany Wey

Emerging artist Tiffany, is a wildlife artist living and working in East Sussex.

Working primarily with acrylics on canvas and board her focus is around big cats and wild beasts such as polar bears and wolves to name a few, creating incredible detail and hyperreal texture.

Her journey began as a child always sketching and drawing but it was not until later life that she found time to explore and rediscovered her love for painting, like many this was during the lock down period, and she took full advantage. Using that time to develop and fine tune her work into her current style.

As a self-taught artist with no formal training, she continues to develop her skill with a passion, pushing on in her everyday practice.

Her modern approach of using solid colour as the backdrop to enhance the atmospheric and cropped composition really helps to show case each animal, creating an energy and a palpable feeling of pending motion bringing the viewer closer to these magnificent subjects.

As a wildlife artist Tiffany draws her inspiration from nature, wild animals and the plight of our ever-disappearing wildlife. With conservation being such an important issue right now, she wants to use her art to highlight endangered wildlife. She recently joined up with the Big Cat Sanctuary where she exhibited some of her work and donated to the charity through any sales
